It had to be today or it wouldn't be at all. While the first month of 2013 is about to get out of our way, it was about time this little something I have been having in my mind got in my way. For foodies or food lovers or anyone who thinks that food brings us together. And I don't talk family gatherings with long tables only.
Food is culture. A part of our culture. Created by our culture. Creating culture. Mixing cultures. And distinguishing them at the same time. I firmly believe that food can shape our vision of the world and our daily thoughts and perceptions. Hopefully, you won't get me wrong with this. Under no circumstances can I imagine someone, unless having some rare sickness, constantly thinking of what is there to eat today, tomorrow, this week. At the same time, I wish there were more people putting thought into this. Not what one is hungry for at a certain moment. But what is the reasoning behind our dietary choices and the people we choose to share them with. And there is so much more around this all...
I will go deeper into such subjects in the future; for now I might just sound a bit of a fanatic to some. Agreed. A Food Fanatic Forever (is this what FFF stands for?). And while being that weird sort of fanatic, I deeply enjoy the magical world of cooking, creating, sharing, inventing, and pleasing. The least I can do is sharing a bit of this passion with you. I am not a scientist on this, I am not a professional, I might not be politically - or otherwise - correct. Most probably though, to be reading this, you might already have this same passion or you are curious about it, and you won't mind. I am new in blogging and my schedule is always full because I have some more of those passion things, which I won't manage to hide in these writings, I guess. I sometimes stay away from the kitchen or anything relevant because I might be lost deciphering a saying in a foreign language or wonder why that one country or culture follows these or other ways. So, I might come back with something crazy from the linguistic part of my world. Or I might need to hide for a bit or go outside and mingle with all kinds of people - usually involving food in the middle. I will come back even more excited or, at least, with something new impressed on my mind. C U !
We are looking forward to the next steps... Kalì arhì :))) And fff :D
